Happy Halloween from The Grand Nudge

Seems like this time of year, Halloween, brings out my best side—

Well some people don’t see it that way. (Ex-husbands, lovers, and past co-workers mainly… as you might imagine.)

The Grand Nudge

The nicest adjective was direct; to the point…some might call it a little evil or even witchy

See, Halloween is the one time of the year I don’t have to hide my alter ego. She can join the party loud and proud and very direct.

Meet The Grand Nudge:

Ahem!

So what is taking you soooooo long to get going?

You’ve been talking about this living in community thing for a LONG time, in some form or another.

“Someday…when I get older…”

Guess what? You can’t escape the inevitable. You’re getting older every day! It isn’t something that is going to happen SOMEDAY! It is happening right now!

Are you scared to keep reading! Click below to hear more of what I have to say…if you dare!

Do you hear yourself????

Does your whining and kvetching sound anything like this??? Just listen to the way you’re talking.

“Oh, I am so scared to make a move !!!!!!! Eek! What might happen???? I don’t know if I can afford it! Who else will show up? What if I don’t like them or they don’t like me? We have conflict? I want to leave!”

These are just a few of the season’s monsters, vampires, and ogres that show up. What do your nightmares look like?

Here is the real deal. I’m going to tell it to you straight.

Really??? That is the best you can do. Get over yourselves and get moving. Don’t wait for another Halloween to come and go and listen to me tell you all of this again!

Start now.

I’ve got some assignments for you. Are you ready? You had better be, I don’t have much patience and I don’t wait for stragglers to catch up. Here you go:

1)      You can only change things if you know what needs to be changed. It is time to reassess your plans. What is stopping you? What are your fears? What is holding you back? Start to work on those before you can move forward.

2)      Take action: get off your couch. No one is going to knock on your door and ask if you want to join their community. That isn’t the way the world works! No one is going to do this work for you so stop procrastinating and get started. Not later. Not next yet. Not tomorrow: today!

What is your answer to this question?

WHO WILL LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON FOR YOU????

Otherwise I am going to be there to scare you even more!

Oh I feel so much better now that I got that off my chest.

I want to live in a community, but can’t figure out how to finance it.

Great idea. I can’t too much but… buy my Guidebook to make sure you have all the things you need in place! That is why I wrote it.
      Hope this helps.

I am 58 recently retired and have been married 30 yrs. the relationship should have ended 20 yrs ago. The last five years I have really wanted to get out but I am afraid, financially and not sure I want to be alone. I am pretty much alone now but there is some one in the house. I don’t have any family to speak of . I am a people person but where I live I don’t see many people and none that I am compatible with. I so need to change my life I think community living would the answer for me. I have been reading every thing I can find about it. Would like to be a Golden Girl lol. I am searching and hope I can find a community that would be right for me and I will be brave enough to make the move to have a life for the rest of it. I think it might be a longer one if I were around people I enjoyed and happy. So there I spoke my mind, it’ the first time I have put this into words. If anyone sees this that could give me some helpful info it would be welcome.
