LYNNE ISER and MARIANNE KILKENNY
are two of the country’s leading advocates and consultants
committed to promoting Women Living In Community.
They utilize their extensive network of resources, associates
and tools to provide individualized services designed to meet
the specific needs of their clients.
LYNNE ISER is an advocate, educator and consultant dedicated to creating communities that value their members and empower them to heal our world. Currently she is working to coordinate an Elder Friendly Neighborhood; facilitating the development of a cohousing community; and, supporting the growth of a Sustainable Community model that recognizes “human sustainability.” She also teaches classes and workshops that focus on Spiritual Eldering and Creating Communities for Elders.
Lynne was the founding Executive Director of the Spiritual Eldering Institute where she learned that becoming and elder was an exciting and positive experience. She is now determined to enjoy her elder years and share what she knows with others so that she will have her own empowered community as she grows older. She lives with her husband and two of their five children in a blended family in Philadelphia.
MARIANNE KILKENNY is a consultant, facilitator, and educator who works with groups and individuals that are looking for alternative models for living in our communities as we age. She was co-founder of The Beguine Project which is Forming Women’s Villages and, co-creator of the Women Living in Community Conferences. She speaks on subjects ranging from Aging in Community, Creating Community for the 2nd Half of Life, and advocates community as an answer to possible “Bag Lady Fear Syndrome (BLFS)”.
She lives in a small community in Asheville, North Carolina and is actively pursuing the women’s community movement for herself and others and keeping a sense of humor throughout the journey.
Marianne ‘s background as Human Resources Executive in Silicon Valley and business owner equips her to ”nudge” along others who may be looking for some creative ways to move forward in a healthy way to live in community as we age.
“I am so appreciative of your work.
I know how hard it is to galvanize any group and get them moving either individually or collectively.
You two did an amazing job!"
